Corvette Goes Large
In these recent days with fuel prices rising rapidly due to the war in the Middle East, climate change always being a hot topic and electrically powered vehicles on the increase, there is still a market for new supercar models variants on the block.
Chevrolet have launched the Grand Sport and Grand Sport X models of the C8 Corvette. The Grand Sport gets a new heart – a 6.7 litre 535 horsepower V8 whilst the Grand Sport X gains the same 6.7 litre V8 with the addition of a 160BHP electrified front axle as fitted to the hybrid E-Ray model thus awarding the X, a generous 721BHP !

Bentley Restructure
Bentley jobs may go. The Crewe luxury car maker founded in 1919, is investing in its range of electric vehicles and as a result, a reorganisation of the workforce puts 275 jobs at risk. The company trimming of employees would be restricted to non-manufacturing roles – management and agency remits.
The Bentley CEO explained that the organisational changes were necessary to keep the company competitive going forward. Several electric vehicles are planned for launch in the next four years from the almost carbon neutral factory. Bentley’s international sales to the US have been knocked down by the tariffs imposed by the Trump administration.
Meanwhile, customers can still order any of their current line-up including the Continental, Flying Spur, Bentayga and bespoke offerings from Mulliner.
